The McCune Trail begins at the Sugarloaf Mountain trailhead, located off of Sugarloaf Road. After about two miles, the trail reaches a junction with the Baughman Rocks Trail. If you're looking for a longer hike, you can continue on the Baughman Rocks Trail for another 1.5 miles to reach the Baughman Rocks overlook.

To complete the McCune Trail loop, turn left at the junction and follow the trail back to the Sugarloaf Mountain trailhead. The total round-trip distance is 3.7 miles, and the hike should take about 1.5 hours to complete.
